E-Portal for Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Scheme
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the e-portal for the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Programme on May 03, 2025, which will distribute free 3-marla plots among homeless families. Available at https://azag.punjab.gov.pk/, this move is a big stride towards housing equality, targeting poor families all over Punjab.
The First Phase allocates 1,892 free 3-marla (675 sq.ft.) plots in 23 housing schemes in 19 districts, namely Jhelum, Pattoki, Lodhran, etc. Construction Support Selected families can avail interest-free loans of up to Rs. 1.5 million under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar scheme, repayable in 7 years at Rs. 14,000/month. It Gives shelter and dignity with a priority given to widows, orphans, and workers, generating employment and better living conditions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Permanent resident of Punjab (according to CNIC).
- Less than Rs. 50,000 per month.
- No land or property ownership (by applicant, spouse, or dependent children) in Pakistan.
- No criminal background or bank defaults.
- Age 18 and older with PSER survey completed.
How to Apply
Online Application (Main Method)
- Go to https://azag.punjab.gov.pk/.
- Click “Register” in the top right side.
- Enter: Full name, CNIC number, father’s/husband’s CNIC, gender, email, mobile number, division, district, tehsil, and city.
- Set your password and submit.
- Upload necessary documents: CNIC, B-Form (for dependents), and income proof (if relevant). Review and submit application.
- Monitor status through your account dashboard.
Offline Application (For Non-Tech Users)
- Go to Deputy Commissioner (DC) office of your district.
- Visit the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Scheme desk.
- Bring original CNIC, B-Form, and proof of income.
- Get help to fill the form and submit.
