When will Phase 1 payments be formally initiated?
The payments will begin this Thursday or Friday, according to BISP officials. These payments were first disbursed in Phase 1, which covered 49 districts nationwide. The Rs 13,500 quarterly installment will be paid to eligible women in these districts.
This action demonstrates the government’s commitment to giving the impoverished financial stability and the ongoing efforts to enhance the payment system.
A Comprehensive Guide for Qualified Women
BISP installments will only be available to women who are already enrolled in the program and whose PMT score is 32 or lower. Additionally, women with a score of up to 37 may also qualify in specific situations (such as widows, women with disabilities, or transgender women).
If your district is on the above list, you should expect to receive an installment in Phase 1 if you recently finished the NSER survey and your eligibility has been verified.
How Can I Receive My Money?
Camps
- At designated locations, camps will be erected where qualified women can present their identity cards to receive the installment.
HBL Connect Agents
- The closest Benazir Program or HBL Connect registered agents are the source of funds.
ATMs (in a few districts)
- After biometric verification, it will be possible to withdraw cash from Alfalah Bank or HBL ATMs in certain locations.
Crucial guidelines for women
When you receive the payment, take the following safety measures:
- Keep the original identity card with you at all times.
- After the money has been paid, make sure you obtain a receipt.
- File a complaint on 8171 right away if an agent takes money.
- Don’t charge anyone for any of the BISP services; they are all free.
If your district is not listed, what should you do?
There is no reason to panic if your district is not yet a part of Phase 1. In the coming days, BISP will also reveal Phase 2, which will comprise the remaining districts.
Similarly, you can use the 8171 web portal or SMS service to check your eligibility and PMT score if it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
