CM Punjab IT Training Course
On the special orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government has formally launched an IT training and digital skills program to empower rural women. Rural women will be provided online training in web development, coding, digital marketing, e-commerce, social media management, graphic design, and multimedia courses under this program. This will be for six months training, wherein every woman will also receive a monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000. Furthermore, on successful completion of the training, every woman will also be provided with a desktop PC and a free Wi-Fi device by the Punjab government.

Eligibility Criteria For Enrolling Into This Program

Firstly, the woman should be a resident of Punjab province. Only those women who possess a valid identity card and domicile in any of the districts of Punjab will be registered. Apart from that, the age bracket is also fixed between 18 and 35 years, which translates to 90 percent of seats being reserved for women aged 18 to 35 years and 10 percent of seats reserved for women aged over 35 years.
From the education point of view, a minimum educational qualification of 16 years is mandatory. That is, women who have passed graduation can become a part of this program only.

Stipend Details And Policy
Women who are admitted to this digital skill scheme by the Punjab government will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000. That is, in this 6-month program, women can earn a maximum of Rs 30,000.
Eligibility criteria for receiving the stipend
- If a woman has an attendance of 80% or more on a monthly basis and obtains 50% or more in assignments, she will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000.
- If a woman achieves 80% attendance but marks in assignments below 50%, she will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 2,500.
- Those women who are below 80% attendance will not receive any stipend.
- This policy is created so that women attend classes regularly and develop maximum skills to become self-employed.
