Punjab Ration Card Program
The Punjab Ration Card Scheme, launched on May 1, 2025, provides a monthly subsidy of Rs 3,000 to eligible families in Punjab. This scheme is one of the many steps taken by the government to give financial assistance and subsidized goods to low-income families.
Under the Ration program, deserving workers will be provided a monthly stipend of Rs3,000 by a digital ration card system. Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz revealed that 1,220 new houses would be built for workers and reiterated her promise to increase welfare schemes to reach as many diligent families as possible.
During her speech, the Chief Minister referred to other ongoing social welfare schemes, such as the running of low-fare Green Buses in all of Punjab with another 500 buses to be added soon. She also gave the news that the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital—Pakistan’s first-ever public sector cancer hospital—is in progress and informed that the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Hospital would be opened in June this year.
CM Maryam expressed her commitment to a better Punjab. “No child of a laborer should sleep on an empty stomach. My promise is that the government will touch the people and not the other way around,” she said.

وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے صوبائی وزیر محنت و کھیل کے ہمراہ متعدد سٹالز کا دورہ کیا اور انہیں سکیم کے بارے میں جامع بریفنگ دی گئی۔ انہوں نے مزدوروں کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے حکومت کے عزم پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا، “یہ پروگرام غیر مزدوروں کے لیے نہیں ہے؛ یہ ان لوگوں کے لیے ہے جو دن میں 12 سے 14 گھنٹے کام کرتے ہیں۔ انہیں عزت کی ضرورت ہے، انحصار کی نہیں۔”
Eligibility Criteria
For eligibility for the Punjab Ration Card, candidates should:
- Have a valid CNIC
- Be permanent residents of Punjab
- Be members of a low-income family with a monthly income below Rs. 50,000
- Not be recipients of other government schemes such as BISP or government loan schemes
- Not be tax filers or possess substantial property
- Have already undergone the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) survey
Registration Process
For Already Registered Beneficiaries: Those families who availed benefits under the Nigehban Ramzan Package shall be automatically registered and need not register once again.
For New Registrants: Registration can be done through the following ways:
Online through PSER Portal
- Go to pser.punjab.gov.pk
- Enter personal and household information in the registration form
- Submit the form and wait for confirmation
Offline through Khidmat Markaz
- Go to the nearest Khidmat Markaz center
- Staff will help to fill out PSER survey and registration form
