BISP Payments to Stop for Loan
Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is a big source of financial assistance for needy families in Pakistan. But now there is some valuable news for people residing in Punjab. If the woman or her husband has already availed loan from government programs like Apni Chhat Apna Ghar or Asaan Karobar Loan, then BISP installments will be terminated.
This is a part of the new policy by the government to prevent double financial assistance and help reach only those who are in dire need

What Is the New Rule?
- If You Live in Punjab
- And you are receiving funds from BISP
- But also borrowed money under Apni Chhat Apna Ghar
- Or borrowed business loan through Asaan Karobar Scheme
- Your BISP payments will be discontinued afterward.
Why Is This Happening?
The government has realized that some individuals are availing assistance from several support programs simultaneously. This renders it unjust for others who are actually in need.
By suspending BISP for individuals who already received business or housing loans, the government aims to:
- Prevent misuse of funds
- Create room for more deserving families
- Maintain the program transparent and equitable
Who Will Be Impacted?
This regulation will cover:
- Women living in Punjab and currently getting BISP
- If they or their husbands availed a loan from:
- Asaan Karobar Program (Small Enterprise Loans)
- Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program (Housing Loan Scheme)
- They will no longer receive the BISP monthly payment
What Should You Do Now?
- If you are receiving BISP and:
- You never availed government loan – You will keep getting BISP
- You borrowed a loan but it was canceled or paid back – ???? Check your status with BISP
- You borrowed a housing or commercial loan – Your BISP payments will be frozen
